Post: will any one help me get debian or Linux on ps3 up and running (Guide for Uber noobs)

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); well im no nube BUT i have follow'd EVERY god damn tut i have found on the internet and NO LUCK. what has been done!
went and got lvl patcher2 V9 @ bootos ran bootos and installed, started lvl2 patcherv9 started up linux, ran the installer follow'd directions when end of installer comes it says something about no boot loader because it may not be needed by kernal, black screen after choosing ok no response to power button so i have to unplug then plug back in, run lvl patcher, start linux runs for a second txt runs down screen, penguins dissapear, screen dimms, more txt,username prompt, password prompt, NO BOOT AFTER THAT just says how there is no warrenty. some one please help me i have rsx graphics drivers for debian/ubuntu and have been requested to test,wasnt supposed to leak that but first person to give me a working tutorial will get the drivers when there confermed and no bugs before any one..cant wait to play my steam games from my ps3! (please no one come here and tell me that what i want to do with debian when it is installed is BS because it is NOT) help help help :derp:

The most common linux OS used for the PS3 (and the most noob friendly) is ubuntu.

well then give me a non pain in the ass 100% tut on how to install that then

allready have ubuntu 10.10 downloaded. shitty part is NO DISC DRIVE IN PS3 so no img burning

allready try'd no luck when blue screen pops up all i get is install debian

Try it with ubuntu.......... thats why I linked ubuntu.

try'd it but with bootos instead of as best os. blue screen only says "Install debian/Linux" no other options
