this is probably a pointless thread as its not relevant to anything productive, but yeah i'm bored.
I'm in no way an expert on this stuff, just sort of follow as much as i can and try to understand as much as i can.
so basically i stuck a usb with 3.60 into my 3.60 ps3, went to system update and then chose the 3.60 firmware. before selecting to start, i took out the usb and switched the update with a rebug firmware. H
put it back into the ps3 and continued. everything copied as normal... then installed as normal... at this point i was expecting to have bricked my ps3, but then it rebooted as normal. none of the debug settings were there so i don't really know what happened, just curious as to why it installed over 3.60.
i know if you do the same thing with a regular version of 3.55 it brings up an error when the update tries to copy.
just wondering why it installed, but didnt do anything lol
That's a good start. Reminds me of hotswapping on Xbox. Lol ill try this when I get home
