Now today I got a 250gb Hard Drive and installed it. It tells me to put a 3.55 firmware and use it to restore the system.
But everytime I do it gets stuck tight at 99%
How can fix this?

Try refreshing your file system. It always works for me when I have a ps3 bug.

you know the boot menu thing?...... but select restore file system(#3 I think) Good Luck

first thing first sync your trophys and backup your pictures savefiles and do backup the whole ps3 to external HDD once you done that you can proceed and replace the hard drive.
