Ok so i followed this guys tutorial for modding bioshock 2. I know this is an xbox360 tutorial but the save system for bioshock 2 is similar. In the videos the guy has to use modio to get the mainsave.bsg out of the xbox360 save. On ps3, we can already get the mainsave.bsg out of the save without modio. So i simply ignored this step. I edited the .dat files in the mainsave.bsg like he did in the tut and then injected the .dat i edited back into the mainsave.bsg. Here is where my problem is. He used modio to rehash and resign the file back to the xbox360 save. (again i skipped this step because i assumed that you only needed to do that for xbox) so when i copied my modded mainsave.bsg back to my ps3 and tried to play the game with that save, it told me the data was corrupted. Any idea's how to fix this?
Also if i'm not clear on something, just ask me.
Well thing is if you used a tool to do it, it won't work as there's different compressions with bethesdas games. I know because there's no save editor for fallout new vegas. And I'm pretty sure Bethesda makes bioshock. So the offsets are off. Sorry dude

I checked Bethesda's official website and looked through all their games. Neither Bioshock 1 or 2 are listed. 2K games developed both Bioshock's.

Hmm, maybe they use the same ish method as Bethesda. As I just know that the ps3 game save for most, if not all games, are different offsets then xbox. Sorry dude
