but when i tried to launch the game it said it had to install new game data.

ok fair enough but it got 30% through the install preparation part, skipped to 100% and said the data is corrupted

ive got no idea whats happening here so if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated

Just delete the patch, do you need the patch?

yeh i already have and it works without a problem again.

i spose i dont really NEED it but it would have been nice to have a few of the bugs fixed

You might try installing the patch, then rebacking up the game

Don't run with nodded region. Just saying the ps3 is region free

Some games will never worked backup'ed up with patches who knows why

Open up the PARAM.SFO and get the ID. Once you get it Google the ID and you're sure to find a patch.

If you use that patch then you will lose the ability to use the exp/money glitch

i wanted to import my DAO game save - most of the 3.56FW fixes are for the US region, i was lucky enough to find one fixed for PAL

*shrugs* never used it anywayz - besides i wont contract isabela's STD if i get the patch (they did fix that didnt they?)

Edit:-

reinstalled the game, patched it then booted up worked fine. didnt even have to manually change the param.sfo - the multiman one worked fine

out of curiosity i deleted all the game data (kept the saves) re-patched it then ran it again - worked fine

maybe alls i had to do to start with was delete all the game data before patching
