No it's not possible, You can only see the stuff contained on the PC's HDD and stream it but you can't Download those items to the PS3 atleast to my knowledge of prior uses of similar methods of media streaming.
You would be able to copy patches but they would be useless because, 1, they would need to be in a format that the PS3 picks up as a video/music/photo file and 2, it would not copy into the right directory.
