(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i am having an issue where i can not get black ops to work either from the disc or from an external hdd, it loads and just loops some menu noise or something, anyway i am going to try and reinstall rebug to see if this fixes it and i was wondering if when i did reinstall rebug that all my content would still be activated? also if it still doesnt work i might try and install kmeaw for a while cause it worked while using that.... lastly, is there any kind of special things i need to know before i reinstall, like maybe a setting i must change?

Try deleting the black ops game data and reinstalling it again. I have black ops and rebug and it works perfectly.

I also had the same problem with crysis 2, so i deleted the game data and started the game as usual. The game data was then reinstalled and it worked again, perhaps the game data got corrupted somewhere along the line.

Also, your save data will still be there so you wont have to start the game from the beginning.

that is so weird, is there any visible marks on the disc?? And when you have tried to run it from an external hard drive have you tried using the BD mirror option??

from looking at the disc i can say for certain, there is not one scratch or smudge on it lol, i tried from multiman with and without bd-required and tried direct and xmb boot, i however have not tried to bd mirror option so i will give that a shot now and report back

Yeah, give it a go. Use the latest multiman, remember that black ops needs to be on an external hard drive and that you need a disk in your Ps3. Press square on the game and then select BD mirror. Good luck.

ok i tried with the bd mirror option and that actually got me to a black screen again but this time with a looping menu sound, its the sound from the multiplayer menu, for some reason i think the game is booting to the mplayer menu even though i have no save data on the ps3? ya idk but either way the sound loops, then i hear a message or error sound, then it just loops lol i really have no idea what to do :(

hmmm, that's not right. Have you tried reformatting your internal hard drive, might be a corrupt or broken file that's not showing up. Also, what region is your Ps3 set to??
