My lag switch setup for PS3

Once upon a time...

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i got one ethernet cord goin to router other to ps3 but i cant tell if the lag switch is workin or not:S
I cant get host on WaW with it either ?
Any help please.. appreciated

EDIT - Just read and did i put it wrong first as i got disconnected then changed cables around and it worked, was this right to do or faulty lag switch

if you hold the lag switch on cod, if your host you freeze the other people, if your not, you will lag yourself.

Well, If you want to know if it is working do this.
1. Sign on psn
2. Right as your f/l is loading flip switch
4. If it stops adding more people to your list then it works but if it continues adding the rest it did not work
did you notice I skipped 3?

when i turn on my lagg switch it disconnects me from my psn and it says eternet cord not plugged in

it is in the modem-router...but when ever i turn it on it either sign me off mgo and then my psn

i got a webstar modem...if you want go on google type webstar modem go to image and it will show up..my ethernet cord is connected to the webstar modem and my lagg switch is near my ps3 where i can switch it but when i switch it on i sign of psn and mgo.

i got to download the ethernet tool because i take connection from some once wireless connection some how. when i use the net tool my bar turns red but no one in the game frezzes and after a while i lag out my psn and mgo
