(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey all,
I have been backing up my games for a bit now via Multiman 1.17 on 3.55 Kmeow CFW. I transfer them between my PC with blackbox because I didn't get a Ex HDD until today. I formatted to FAT32 and backed up my game on it with multiman with no problems. My question and problem here is..? Can I just copy my Backups (alrdy transfered to PC earlier) on my Ex HDD from my PC and then plug my Ex HDD to my PS3 and play from there instead of using Blackbox? I put the games in the GAMES folder Multiman created but when I plug into my PS3 I cant select them. I see them when I use my file manager but I can't select to play them. Am I doing something wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated

Maybe you have to split them. Just google ps3 backup file splitter.

really?? i heard that games wont boot if they are saved on an external formatted in ntfs so it needs to be fat32 to play them. Admittedly, split games wont boot either but these can be copied to the internal. I would like to know what the internal hard drive of a Ps3 is formatted to because then i would format my external in the same way.

Once you have formatted you External HDD to FAT32. On the root of the HD, make a folder named GAMES. Then inside that folder make another folder with the Game ID of the game that you wish to put on there (BLES-00148 = COD4) and then put the PS3_GAME and PS3_UPDATE within that folder and MultiMan should recognize it. I tend to label my games BLES-XXXXX-[Game Name Here]. It makes it easier to find games. If MultiMan doesn't recognize the games on there straight away then you probably need to scan for them on MultiMan.On the newest version just bring up the system settings andthen scan and it should start to download the covers for them.

It seems as if you have done everything right just make sure the GAMES folder is in the root of Ex HDD and not inside another folder.

Ah yea I also had this problem, but with only a couple games I recently added.

Multiman doesnt seem to always scan for new content, it "remembers" the previous list of games (done so that it loads quicker) so you need to either refresh the multiman list which you can choose in the options of multiman

or, goto the file manager screen in multiman.. locate the external hdd.. open up ex hdd.. open the game folder (eg. bles-XX).. then select and start the eboot.bin in that folder.
This will boot the game and bring you back to the ps3 xmb. Just open multiman up again and the game will appear in the menu Smile

Sometimes the refresh doesnt pick up the game even though its there so the second option fixes that Smile Had this problem with borderlands for some reason.

Hope i Helped Smile
