(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Just wondering if it would be possible to use 2 different hard drives with my one official firmware ps3?

my plan was to keep all my stuff on my OFW ps3 on a safe hard drive, and put in a new one to get data transfer from a CFW ps3 with modded patches and saves. When i put my original HDD back into my OFW ps3 after using the new HDD for a while, would it ask to format? or just work fine?

Cheers for any response!

Why not just tell him straight out why?

You can't because your firmware is installed directly onto the main bios as well as the HDD. So removing the HDD solves nothing since the firmware will always be on your PS3's board.

not sure if u all misunderstood my question, but this one at least isn't what i meant.

take the CFW out of the equation to make it simpler,

I'm wanting to use two separate hard drives with one ps3, and i want to know if i swap between them i'll be forced to format.
