You can't necessarily ask for a 3.55 PS3, since nobody will know where to get one... You can't be sure that the ones at GS will be on 3.55. You could try looking on eBay, but there's always that chance that you buy one of the banned PS3's.

be careful when buying a new ps3, cuz it might have the new fw on it....be sneaky when opening it and check the fw if it doesnt have the fw you need....be supre sneaky resealing and repacking so that you can return it
