hi
we bought a brand new ps3 recently which came with 3.55cfw.
the system is being used as a backup blu-ray player in a digital cinema and as a bit of amusement in the staff room of a gallery. as such we want to be able to access the movie streaming services mubi and netflix. we are in the uk but we can access netflix using a dns trick. we have the router set up to do that.
at the moment we have kmeaw 3.55cfw installed with multiman, open ps3ftp and a few psn game .pkgs we found to check everything was working properly. we have not accessed the psn store yet or registered an account as it's all been down.
1) first, we want netflix. i've found .pkg files which is good because we're in the uk and it won't be on our store. i've read that one of the recent updates made the minimum fw for netflix 3.60, or at least something that wasn't 3.55. to get around this, we need to version spoof, but all the tutorials for version spoofing want us to have an sp-int account. how do we get an sp-int now, if it's impossible to get one now how did you get one and is it forseeable we'll be able to get one in the future? what about after the psn store is working properly again?
2) second, mubi. i've not seen a .pkg for mubi anywhere, is it a horribly unpopular service or is there a reason for this? from where we currently stand is installing it going to be a problem?
extra info: don't care about playing online. actually wouldn't imagine any release games will actually be getting played. just mubi and netflix.
