(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I got my ps3 stuck in a loop while I was updating it to 3.55. I turn it on it installs until 75%

then it says the download was cancelled suggested actions is turn off the ps3 and try

again. It gives me error 8002f1f0. I turn it on again and it does the exact same thing.

Youtube said that it has something to do around either the disk drive or the ribbon that

with it. Problem is I don't even have a disk drive! Any suggested actions??? Please tell me if

I should do this: take out the hard drive out of both ps3's ,3.61 is the other, and put the

stuck loop one into my good ps3. I don't know if the hard rive holds all the memory

including updates but I figure if I place it into mine the working disk drive of mine will just

update it then I can just put it back into the other one. But I don't wanna F#?@ up my

other ps3.

Does that error code even exist? You must login or register to view this content.

Try updating through recovery mode.
Power off, hold power until it turns off again, hold on until a pair of beeps.

I tried that doesn't work I now know for sure that it is because of the missing blue ray drive and I meant to put down error code 8002F14E sorry. But anyway I'm thinking about replacing the blue ray disk drive which is probably worth the same as that piece of crap ps3 :\ but the only reason I'd do it is to have a jailbroken one.

or in the mean time can i take my ps3 disk drive and connect it to the broken one while it is updating? Then once it is done just put it back on mine? Is it way easier said than done?
