(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok I have a ps3 fat stuck in a firmware update loop. The reason is that it is missing a disk drive and every part must function and be hooked up to the motherboard correctly in order for the update to complete. If i take out the hard drive from this fat ps3 and put it on another fat ps3that works properly would it update all the way?

Afraid not as the firmware is stored on the nand and not on the hd.

That probably won't work, as it's flashing the NAND to update. But, everything is worth a try. :y:

Won't work, as already stated firmware is stored and flashed to the NAND not the HDD like common misconception would have you believe.

hdd has no effect on the nand you can pull the hdd out of a 3.61 and put it in a 3.41 and still have 3.41
