your 3.55 will stay the exact same as before and the updated one will be same as your jb (without the jb ~)

Why would you use Geohot's cfw. Its like the worst one.

i use it because i did befor on my other ps3 that was once on 3.55cfw but now 3.66 ... dont matter because i just update geohots cfw back to ofw with 3.55 then get a diffrent cfw i would done it allready but loads people posting fake updates witch could lead to brickage and most just ballsh!t with virus attached witch gave me a FCUKING TROJEN CANT BE ASSED ATM AND I GOT 2.72 OFW PS3 GETTING FIX SO ILL JAILBREAK THAT ASWELL

cant i just get 3.55 ofw put in usb then ps3 go storage media and download then get a diifrent cfw and update that ...............and what wrong with geohotz jailbreak i cant see the diffrence????????????????????????????

If you just want to data transfer, Geohot is fine. If you want to do other stuff(fiddle with the system, play backups/pirated games etc) then go Rebug. Your call
