1.download ps3 game list v1.7 from

2.plug your external HDD in your pc

3.open ps3 game list v1.7 then press file then game folder

4.select the folder from your HDD where games is located (ex:GAMEZ or GAMES)

5.select the game which is HD only playable and on the bottom left assign all the video resolution options and then from the toolbar click save changes

6.now close ps3 game list v1.7 and unplug your external HDD and enjoy playing like any other game
