I would guess lower firmware because I just bought a new 160G PS3 from walmart today and it was on 3.40

ill probably buy from walmart not gamestop. because they probably dont reorder to many ps3s

there's most probably a 50/50 chance of you getting a lower firmware.

Go to gamestop and buy a USED PS3 FAT!! i remember getting one and it was on 3.15!! i was like :wtf: haha but used ones you never know, if it is on a higher firmware, just go back and say something doesnt work right on it and get another one , then keep going till you get a lower firmware that you are looking for :p thats what i did :lol: even though it only took me 2 times till i got a 3.15

Depends if they have re-stocked lately or not. After the 3.40 & 3.50 batches they've all been sent 3.56/3.60+ firmware models, so it's really a matter of luck.

Buy a new one because i think all new ones come with a firmware lower than 3.41. Im pretty sure you can buy new if not just return it and buy used.
