(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I am currently running 3.50 firmware and I've been looking for a jailbreak that works. So far I have found a lot of videos that have links to non-existent or fake files. Could anyone point me in the right direction on this?

Download the official 3.55 firmware, here:

Put the PS3UPDAT.PUP file on your USB drive. Put it in the folder called PS3. Make a folder called UPDATE, and put that folder in there. So, you will have your USB/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP -

Now, get whatever CFW you want, probably REBUG, since it's the best.

Either update to 3.55 and install a CFW, or use PS3MFW Builder to create your own 3.50 CFW.

...........and this would allow me to backup my games on my hard drive and play them on it? That's my main concern, at $60+ a piece, I'm in no mood to find out a game I bought is now a coaster due to a scratch, I just want to download them on my HD, put them back in their cd case and leave them there. Thanks for all the help, by the way, this is my first PS3.

Yep, you can also download alot of backups and games from this site. Look in all the threads in the exploits and hacks section, including the stickied threads. also, use the search feature if you need more help with things.

Thanks for all your help, everything has worked so far! I do have one last question, though. I've got REBUG installed, things are working, but I can't seem to find out how to back up my games onto my HD. Do you have any info?
