Did your hard drive crash, and YOU replaced it with a new one?

it bricked and it happened when I updated, so im pretty sure it was the software, i tried almost everything so this is like my last option. I don't think my hard drive CRASHED, but it involved the hard drive, and i didnt replace it, i got the one it had and wiped everthing off of it, it didnt matter since it wouldnt turn on or get to the recovery menu.
