I am using a TI-84 calculator to push it into factory/service mode. All firmwares weather it be OFW or CFW between 3.55 thru 3.41 installs flawlessly. I am using the Lv2diag.self and PS3UPDAT.PUP in the root of my usb method which works for higher firmwares. Normally when a downgrade is being performed in factory/service mode the TV screen will remain blank and the HDD indicator on the PS3 will flash showing that something is happening. After a few minutes the green power indicator will blink and the PS3 will shut down indicating a successful downgrade. Here is the problem: When I attempt to go below 3.41, everything I described above happens except the green power indicator keeps blinking and never shuts off. My PS3 will become semi-bricked until I reinstall 3.41 or higher in factory/service mode.

im not sure but i thought you cant go past the original console fw so it sounds like your ps3 was manufactured with 3.41

if your positive your ps3 came on less than 3.41 you could always try to jailbreak 3.55 and qa flag downgrade

Yea I Was About To Say That Update To 3.55 Then QA Flag And Use The Downgrader In It
