(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I just used a proxy server to find and replace the patch download for cod4. As I expected, the error code "80029563," which means that the file was not signed.

That's the download to the .pkg file that IS signed

So, why can't we unpack the .pkg file, replace the patch_mp.ff, and repack it? Wouldn't the "sign" remain untouched?

Or is the "sign" assigned to the file itself, and does it change when you edit the file? Gasp

Note: This isn't in cod4 exploits and hacks because it applies to any ps3 patch, not just cod4.

this is a fake do not attempt to use this. if u need a legit patch making then send me 100k vbux and ill make u a legit patch for either mw2 or mw1 or mw2 or waw with anything you would like on the modded patch

But how would we get it back on the ps3? I have no idea what you're talking about on the Proxy Server... But, it sounds like it would work. Try it Happy

Yes, when you unpack something any sign of the 'sign'(Winky Winky) is gone. It's then up to you to sign it again, using the keys for whichever firmware you're on. So it's the same old problem- we don't have the 3.60+ keys(publicly, at least).
