So i have a ps3 phat with a broken disc drive that will 1. barely detect any usb flash drive and when i do get it to install anyhomebrew i just get a black screen.
im on 3.55.2 rebug i cannot run the 3.55.2 rebug fix due to the black screen
so my main question is how do i sort out the black screen everytime i boot homebrew....

to run anything you need a blu ray drive but uploading something then transfer to latest ps3 could be useful

No I have run home brew on 3.41 jailbreak
I still have the disc drive and the logic board hooked up
