(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a old PS3 that the lens went out awhile ago. When that happened i went ahead and bought a PS3 slim. I had the thought today of maybe doing some data transfering somehow and jailbreaking my slim. My slim is on the current software (Whatever that is) and my old PS3 is on 3.30. Is there anyway for me to jailbreak my slim?

I don't think so, Im not sure if you can jailbreak your 3.30 one because of the lens, im missing a whole blu ray drive and i cant update it.

Why don't you just use a Blu Ray drive bypass firmware to update....you can get it here-You must login or register to view this content.

If you're a bit of a handy man, you can try manually switching the NANDs around, however truthfully I have no idea what results this would bring, in-fact it probably wouldn't work because they're different PS3 models.

One thing I do know is, there's absolutely no way of modifying any firmwares through data transfer, so you can rule out that possibility.
