When you create a new user on a PS3 you get the option to create a PSN or log in with an existing PSN account. Instead of doing that have the user account just say USER 1 with no PSN. Then collect as many trophies as you want by using game save hacks or legitimately, have other people help out (the community contribute too if you like). Then using a file manager copy that user onto an external device just to share it with other PS3s. But anyway, wouldn't you be able to have MANY trophies on USER 1 that has no PSN on other PS3s. So a PS3 with that account can update to a later firmware and use their PSN and sync trophies?

I've done something similar, as in used a blank user no PSN, collected my trophies then created a PSN to sync the trophies. So if I was to get many trophies and to have copied it onto a external device and shared it with a friend or sold that user account to a custom firmware user, they will be able to update and sync to their PSN?

Can become a business for someone, if they can do it on 16 accounts (PS3 User limit) then sold the trophies to 16 people and update that PS3 and synced with 16 accounts. Then start all over with a new PS3, only thing difficult would be buying 3.55 and lower firmware PS3s as all 16 user accounts can be backed up onto an external device then copied into a different PS3.

I know it sounds excessive but wouldn't this work?

Im quite certain trophies don't backup when you back up user accounts. Only way is to sync them is to get them on your legit account then update your ps3 so you have psn.

No you didn't understand lol. When you use a file manager and go into find the user account you created, it will be a folder with a title, that folder has many other folders like trophies, messages, history, etc. I think the folder goes by the name 00000001 or something, and located in the "home" directory. When I meant back up the user, I meant make a copy of that folder.

Hence, copying that folder from one PS3 to another would mean you just duplicating the PS3. And that user has no PSN so when you were to update and sync trophy on a PSN account, everything should be okay?

oooohhhh ok yeah I gotcha yeah that should work and yeah its a bit excessive but if your willing to put in the time I think your right I could see a lot of "potential" in this. I have a theory posted myself as to how to sync the trophies actually that i've been working on I posted it here in the trophies question section some time ago unfortunately i need another tray for the hdd that don't have access too at the minute. But based on things other users have confirmed I think it could work I can't remember how long ago I posted it though so I can't find it in the threads cause I can't remember the exact title... eh ill probably post it again later after I confirm proof of working or not... either way though thats beside the point right now but yeah I see potential in this...
