Will entering recovery mode and installing a clean fw of 3.55, then following the latest tutorials fix anything from rebug? (Also, I remember having to mess around a lot with certs before rebug, could be a problem there?)

Go to download and search.for FW or OFW. Search the official 3.55 FW. And do install like you would install a CFW. 1 thing dont update!!!! Wait for a bypass.

I take it you're on 3.55.1? If so, just go to OFW then update to 3.55.2, probably easiest through recovery menu.

Also regarding certificates, for a short time there were a few ways online, however currently there are none as we don't have the 3.66 keys required for authorization from the servers.

then just update to the 3.55 above
