(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was watching a c0dereality video on how to transfer patches for COD. Now I already know how to do this but I remember him mentioning something about changing patches without data transfering. He uses data transfer's to laptop hdds and just plugs them in to change patches. I really need to do this because I will not have my jailbroken PS3 available for a few months at the end of the week.

Here is the video:

It starts at about 6:50, if anyone could give me a more detailed explanation of this that would be great.

you can make a backup of each patch while its on the ps3 through backup utility and reinstall from backup to change it

well in the video, TheEnd had more than 1 hdd, for a single ps3, he did this when cfw was out, so it would of worked since the hdd was already formated for the ps3, looks like your gonna need another ps3 to data transfer on different hdd's

would I be able to do this with an external hdd? because I have a 250gb that i really do not use for anything. I would think it would work as long as it was formatted correctly.
