(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK so guys i have a 3.55 CFW PS3. When QA flag came out i put that as the only FW. So yesterday my older brother whos dumb desides he wants to use that PS3. So he updated it. But i had a DNS bypass on and for some reason it only updated to 3.56. So at the point i was shocked it didn't get bricked. So the QA Flag FW must not be the same as CFW because it didn't brick. So then I updated the PS3 to 3.66. I took the DNS bypass off and reset my internet settings. Now when I go to sign in it says a DNS error has occord. Its code is like 807 i dont know the rest. So if anyone can help me sign in on it that would be great thanks.

I think you have a BIG problem there, my friend had a similar error when updating because he forgot to remove the modded certificate (the one where it would let us go online before sony changed the keys) he updated and it said he couldn't sign on, he tried everything in the recovery menu, but non worked, except full format, I think you have the same error as my friend, so your only way is to format it, try the recovery menu first, and also back up what ever you have on you ps3, incase something goes wrong, I really hope you're not in the same position as my friend, because the only way out of that, is to format it...

Well you should go shit on your older brother's chest.

I assume a system restore could help, also, obviously read the thread posted above on GameSpot before you do the restore.
