Released by johnnydoe is a patched Cobra USB custom firmware v3.55; which includes many of the features found on Kmeaw’s custom firmware v3.55. features like lv2 peek/poke, vsh/nas_plugin, and install package option are all here. He added that the Cobra USB device is not required.

both their core os files are patched so it should work with or without the dongle.

If you wanna unpack it and have a look or try it you can download it…

From the readme file:

This is cobras 3.55 firmware patched with peak/poke for lv2 on both coreos files and the usual vsh/nas_plugin and install package file option.

It's great if it works but have you tested this before you posted? If not seriously **** off you could be screwing people this was posted by just some random guy who made his account the same day.

I checked this out and all this is is a Cobra CFW patched like kmeaw to allow you to use homebrew withought the dongle but all the Cobra features (Cobra Manager) are unavailable unless you have the dongle.

the ps3 doesnt boot with the dongle
boots fine without dongle
and the dongle is 100% working with the original Cobrausb 3.55 cfw
