Everyone is saying use X IP and get online for x amount of time. Thing is here, is that its not smart at all. It not really even an exploit. The only exploit is tricking you PS3 when it fetches the .txt off sony servers to see the latest version.

Thing is you real FW version is sent to sony. There is a few places where this is stored. Since you aren't changing that but making your PS3 think there is no update it still gets sent with the login request.

Now what really happens is sony ALLOWS everyone to connect in. They then randomly disable/block after a period for anyone BUT the latest firmware version to authorize. So DURING that time you WILL get on, BUT sony WILL know what your doing and be logging you. Most likely trying to catch "hackers" or modders red-handed.

So if you don't care proceed as always but do know that sony is basically gathering a list in theory of who to ban...

Thanks for the info, though Sony doesn't really console ban anyone.

You are right, but your accounts are linked to your console and its the same on XBOX. they CAN track where you account goes and where you login from. So they would just ban you on that account.

Bypassing has been around for like 3 years now, PS4 is on the way, I don't think anybody has to worry about being banned from this.

I personally don't care if you get banned or not. I am just trying to provide information to those who care to read and try to make others aware. Besides that what you do is up to you.

Cool story bro. If they banned anyone they would have done so when everyone was using sp-int network.

Also such threads have been posted many times by people who feared.
