My 3.55 ps3 arrived today. I have jailbroken it with Geohots CFW but the blu ray drive does not seem to want to read any games. I have looked around on the internet and read that most people can't run homebrew if they have a faulty Blu ray drive, I can not install 4.25 spoofer, F***PSN or dev_Blind. The only thing I can install and run is BlackBox FTP Server. So how can I install a game without the blu ray drive reading it?
I have another ps3 on 4.25 which already has the games I want to mod installed if that helps...

I believe there is a way for you to make it work. Might end up having to Download the torrent/ISO and FTP is to your PS3. May work that way, not 100% sure though. Sounds to me like who sold it to you pulled one over on you if they did state before you bought it that the system did not read disc's. Some games from what I've seen you have to have them in Drive for them to work. I would get back with who you bought it from and tell them.

I've contacted the seller and we're currently working out a way for us both to be happy. Also could I just transfer the data from my online ps3 to the 3.55, mod the games then transfer it back???
And do you have a website where I could download the ISO and try your idea?

I can't link to any Torrent sites here but just google it. As far as the transfer goes, I know you can do that but it just depends on what game I guess and have to make sure you have it spoofed. Not too familiar with the transferring from the online PS3 to the CFW PS3. The other way around I could help all day.
