He is talking about signing pkgs not pups ECDSA has nothing to do with signing pkgs if ECDSA had to do with pkgs you wouldn't be able to run homebrew on 3.60+ firmware and as you know you can run homebrew on 4.21 CFW which is still 4.21 just with a install package files option so i think you could run homebrew on 4.21 if you data transferred from 4.21 CFW to 4.21 OFW

Incorrect, ECDSA is simply the way the the Private Key is checked. ALL installable content (DLC, FW, CFW, PKG, etc...) is signed with the Private Key, so yes ECDSA goes hand and hand with homebrew. Read this part carefully, yes there are 4.xx CFWs, but as you know you need to be on 3.55. This is because we have the private key for 3.55 and below. AND like I stated, the only way to get the Private Key was with ECDSA, which has been fixed... so no signing on OFW. ALL of the 4.xx CFWs are in fact modified OFWs (respectively), but don't use the 4.xx private key, the dev's patched the unknown private key.
