This is the GTA IV news a lot of users have been looking forward to. For those of you lucky enough to have access to a CFW and OFW PS3 console, you will be pleased to know that nativesith has put together a tutorial for transferring modded data from CFW consoles to OFW consoles. Playing IV with a Disc on OFW
This will hold yo hand through the whole process and you will ave a OFW PS3 with script mods for GTA IV when all is said and done.
Lets start off by lookin at other tutorials...
Which all basically tell ya
1.Install the mod and grab the update.img in hddo/game/blus30127/USRDIR
2.Install the official 106 update.
3. Place the update.img form the first step in hdd0/game/blus30127/USRDIR
And that is aboot it...
This path begins with the spoof... Which one?
Tried the 9.99 and got a phat update message, so I went with
1.)Rebug 4.21 CFW. download and install it on the CFW 3.55 PS3. Once on CFW 4.21 Rebug, go into toolbox and switch to Rebug mode which will spoof to 4.31.
Prepare the CFW ps3 for the data transfer, since every thing (ex.Videos,Music,and Game Data)is transferred should be backed up and deleted from the CFW PS3.
The only Game data that should be there is GTA IV. Now that is ready...lets begin by selecting a mod . I picked
2.) Evil's Latest n greatest.Install it and then Grab dat update.img in hddo/game/blus30127/USRDIR
then Delete Game Data when done.
3.)Now download the official 106 update and install that.
4.) Here one goes in to Multimanager to select n load GTA IV (FROM THE DISC!)to install the 106 update. Once it is installed go back into Mutlimanager's filemanager.
5.) Put the update.img(from Evils )in the 105 update data hddo/game/blus30127/USRDIR.
Now the ps3 is ready for the dark side transfer.
Grab a Ethernet cable and hook up the CFW to the OFW ps3. Begin the data transfer

Two important steps that every data trans tutorial leaves out:
1 One must actually install the 106 update before one places the special update.img in.
2 One must boot from the disc on CFW when making that Game Data. Making game data with external backup will make the save incompatible.
Also only the update.img is transferable this method!

GTA IV Ultimate on HDD(Bought on PSN)
This way requires two data transfers. First one must transfer from the OFW to the CFW. Using the spoofers on CFW do the transfer.
Also since this transfer is moving hdd games it will take longer(probably aboot an 30 minutes per transfer). So it would be best to delete all other ISH(videos,music,etc.).
Once done use Multimanager's filemanager to begin replacin files.
Grab Evil's EFLC scripts.
Change the script.img and network_script.img in
BLUS30127_E1/USRDIR/dlc/episode 1/common/data/cdimages
and
BLUS30127_E2/USRDIR/dlc/episode 2/common/data/cdimages
Modding IV on Ultimate is easy, install a IV package like Evils latest on CFW and grab that update.img in hddo/game/BLUS30124/USRDIR/, then delete that game data.
Put that update.img in the update folder of the IV

One could even place a modded Ps3.rpf in
NPUB30702/USRDIR
and a modded script with more sco added(modslots?)

The features of the queens_e.img will be playable in all three episodes of IV.

After all dat data transfer back to OFW ,sign up, activate the ps3 and begin.
