My new theory begins to PSStore where only Klint and you download ...
What if PSStore made the connection to Sony, but on a server where they were 4.xx APPS?
That we have got to change PSStore theory, which could make a update that changes from KUD is downloaded and then modified PSStore APPS.
FW need to make those changes. (in the first place would be wiped PSStore then be installed IFW / FW).
Modified PSStore would be the same as the previous store, but changed internally. So the PS3 will not recognize what you're downloading.
Do you think it could work? (it's just a theory)

Apps signed to 4.xx firmwares will not work on OFW. Secondly, getting a firmware onto the PS3 FOR install isn't hard at all, but the firmware wouldn't actually install into the PS3. It would just bug out because it isn't official.

you can try by your self..download on your cfw the psstore app..copy the folder from your ps3 hdd (NPIA00025) to desktop..download TrueAncestor EDAT Rebuilder..put any .sdat file from NPIA00025 to TrueAncestor EDAT Rebuilder sdat folder..start the .exe and select option 6 and then 1 to decrypt .sdat file..after decrypt open the .dat file with hx editor..try to find something
