What is a coldboot ?
A Coldboot is the boot up screen you see when you turn your ps3 on (most of us know this already)

Installation.
Ps3ita.

1. On the root of a usb make a folder called ps3ita, inside that a folder called dev_flash
so usb>ps3ita>dev_flash
now inside of dev_flash put the coldboot file such as coldboot.raf, coldboot_multi.ac3 & coldboot_stereo.ac3
some coldboots dont have sound so it will just be coldboot.raf without the ac3 files.

2. now on your ps3 make sure you have ps3ita loader You must login or register to view this content.
3. Put your usb in the right slot of your ps3 (closest to disc drive)
then run ps3ita loader, your coldboot has now successfully been changed

Installation.
4xx Cfw.

1. Download rebug toolbox You must login or register to view this content.
2. run rebug toolbox, on your pc open filezillaYou must login or register to view this content. and conect to your ps3.
3.once connected to your ps3 and you have rebug toolbox running on your ps3, navigate to dev_rebug>vsh>resource. then copy and overwrite your coldboot files as show below.
there you go your done.

Tips.

1. Make sure to make a backup of the coldboot files so you can restore back to default if you wish.

2. use this at your own risk.

3. if you stuff up and dont have your old files, just reinstall your cfw and it will use the default coldboot that comes with whatever firmware your using.
