You Need
*INSTALL HEX EDIT BEFORE GOING TO STEPS
**INSTALL HEX EDIT BEFORE GOING TO STEPS
***INSTALL HEX EDIT BEFORE GOING TO STEPS
****INSTALL HEX EDIT BEFORE GOING TO STEPS

A USB FLASH DRIVE

PS3

TIME
---------------------------------------------

Step 1: Make a backup of your ps3 onto your flash drive Settings>System>Backup
Step 2: Plug Flash Drive Into Computer & Load up Ps3Xport(Make Sure You extracted the Ps3Xport to Desktop in a folder

Step 3:Follow the picture to extract your psid
You must login or register to view this content.

NOTE SAVE THE PSID AS A .BIN (ex. C:\\motion.bin)

Step 3: Once you have your psid extracted load it in the psid bar using open button

Step 4: Follow the picture to extract the whole backup

Step 5: Go to your local disk drive and you will see a folder name dev_hdd0
Now go into home>(choose the users from your ps3 list)>friendim
There should be a file called mecomment.dat if theres not go to another profile

Part 2 (HexEdit)

Step 1: right click on mecomment and open with HexEdit.

Step 2: Double click at cordinate 00x00 is and type 0A until u get to the second row under 3
Note: 0A means space in Hex Format

Step 3: Write Anything You Want But Dont Go Into Row 40

Step 4: Save & Close


NOT DONT YET


Step 5: Back out of the folder into the user profile and youll see a file called localusername

Step 6: Right click open hex edit

Step 4: Change it to a profile you already have on your ps3

Save #DUH


Step 7: Go to desktop and create a new folder called "Comment"

Step 8: Now go to local disk and copy the dev_hdd0 folder and paste it in the folder we just made on desktop
Then delete the dev_hdd0 in the Local Disk to save space and prepare it for next time


Step 9: Open Ps3Xport and Use These Settings and Load the Psid you created in part 1

Note : Where it says here Write Anything so u can identify it on your ps3 and know thats the one you want


HIT START AND WAIT LIKE 1-5 MINS AND IT SHOULD SAY SUCCESS

Step 10: Plug USB into FAR RIGHT Usb slot and then go to Settings>System>Backup>Restore
And the backup u just made should be there and just run it Smile

who cares. OFW modding is okay. Its not even cfg
you can install eboots, patches , and install pkg files with OFW modding now. ITS THE SAME THING its just not there yet.

Thanks , btw im a dex user but i still like to help out people that cant afford 90$ downgrades or 150$ ps3's
because i remember bout a 2 months ago i was just like that and i wanted that help and now i got power and the brains to give people what i wanted when i was in the struggle :p:p:ttl::ttl:
