(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); so today i thought i would repair my ps3 so i was searching around on google and Found that if you heat your PS3 With a blow dryer for 17 min and put it under a Fan for 1-3 hours it'll work fine again i tried it out and it works Fine

REMOVE HARD DRIVE TO BE ON THE SAFE SIDE
REQUIRMENTS, PS3 Hair Dryer(WITH HEAT) Fan Screw Driver

Step 1, Get a box and Put Your ps3 in it (NEED A BOX)
Step 2, Get your hair dryer and put it on heat and start heating the Back of your ps3 for 17 min(Don't stay in same spot for too long)
Step 3, After 17 min put it right by a fan so it cools down for about 2 hours i would say
Step 4, Turn it on and it should have Everything you had before

This is not a permanent fix
You should install a fan in your ps3 so no more heating problems
If it does not Work not my fault
Try This At you own Risk

It is definately not a very good fix, ylod is because of the thermal paste in the ps3 and needing a new paste up.

This is a good temp fix but what this will do is melt the solder joints and ball under the rsx chip which then require you to do a reball when ever you decide to get it repaired to use it again.

Why anyone tries this is beyond me. Its much better to do a reflow, reapply the thermal compound and give it a good clean out which will give it a lot longer life then the hairdryer trick.
