Now i was videoing upto the point of this stage but i encountered some difficulties and it would have been a 3 hour video of me pulling down my console , A screw on 1 side of the battery was in so fkn tight it got stripped and because of the little gap it was in i couldnt just grind a flat strip on the head and get it out with a flat head screw driver .....fuken had to drill it and because its a stainless screw that has its own washer encorporated on the head it was extremely fukn dificult to get it out ....i drilled it to the point where it was thin then very fucking carefully kinda twisted it offf ..mmmmmmmmm

Ok so now im ready to do my first dump the micro sd card gate fell off and instead of taking the time to put it back on properly i just taped the micro sd card on ....but still got a 1 blue light closest to the stat stop button end error ...which i beleive is failing to read sd card error.......so i pushed harder on the sd card ....and broke it in half .
Iv now fixed the gate and am waiting for the shop to open to get a new micro sd card ....and because iv had all night to think about it ...i didnt format my micro sd card ...so yeh ...ill format it first give it another go after the hops open

With xmas time being over i hope to make a few more videos along these lines but i thought i would take the opportunity to mention a few problems iv encountered along my way .

iv done a few consoles and these are the issues iv had with the fix .

1. When you do your patched flash .....MAKE SURE YOU NAME YOUR FLASH FILE CORRECTLY . bkpps3.bin
When you patch your dump file it will be sent to a folder in the following form bkpps30_patched.bin ....on my first console i left the 0 after the 3 in ...result ...bricked.

2. Make sure you use the correct size screw drivers and try and not strip them ..the front safety screw i use a very small flat blade ...be carefull of the battery screws ..they are in a bitch of a spot iff you mess up the screw head .....i fuked 1 and had to drill it out ..you dont want this ...it took about 4 hours as they are stainless screw and because of there position you cant just turn them into a flat blade head and get them out .

3. I use among other things Piffs guide when im doing the conoles ..you will find him on youtube under HACKED TUTORIALS now he has a download called everything E3 the tools contained in that folder are outdated for a console that is on 4.76 firmware ...when you use the NOR Inspector supplied it will give you a error ...and when you do your patch it wont patch because of BAD read ....this is because the supplied tools are for 4.75 and below..fix change out your patch software for a 4.76 edition .

4. BAD READS ...after doing a couple of consoles my Flasher ribbon clip didnt realy clip on properly it was loose and was giving me bad reads ..I tried a few methods but what worked for me ...i filled all the face edges (the side that connect to your nor chip ) ..pushed the clip on ..tapped it ..put a coin on top of the clip to distrubute the pressure evenly accross the clip of the F clamp with rubber boots on the contact points i used.

5. Iff you cant toggle QA after a few attempts it maybee that you didnt seat your Blueray ribbon correctly.

mmm thats about it for the moment ...you have to be a bit patient and persistant with some of these issues but otherwise its all just good times...kinda

Since so much of this thread is extracting CID stuff I moved it under the mod section, feel free to quote me on this one since I'm new to this section and all so I only sorta know what I'm doing .

Yeah, anything which is a guide I would believe it's best to place within the: PS3 Cheats and Customization, since this isn't really a game cheat rather a way to extract a CID(IDPS) I wouldn't think it would belong here... this place is primarily for those releasing RTM/RPC tools which don't have a place within the forums.

Yeah I was being honest, I genuinely dont browse the PS3 forums so I dont know what goes where just yet but I was close because I moved it there first, well thanks for the correction haha, moved to cheats and customization.
