(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I just got myself a new CID and a matching PSID.
I need to ask questions about security and banning.

1. Can we play MW2, MW3, and BO2 without the need for PSNinja and PSN Patch? If we can, then is hosting still risky? Is hosting on any of these games risky even after applying patches and history?

Please answer specifically, as I dontwant to have a very long winded discussion (not saying that it won't happen)

I might edit with more questions.

Thanks for reading!

There's always a chance of being banned, no matter what you do - however that will be greatly reduced by using either PSNinja and/or PSN Patch.

From experience BO2 carries the most ban risk, followed my MW3 then MW2. However as long as you play safely you should be ok.

E.g. Don't be flying around with aimbot and god mode in regular sessions.

Best of luck Geo

So if I host is there a greater chance of ban? I can appear offline to friends but does that option help reduce ban chance?

honestly, on the older games it doesn't matter if you mod the crap out of them or not so long as its ghost or lower (anti ban required on ghost or BO2 if modding them), but in saying that if a number of people report you your account will be reviewed so any massages etc will be checked by sony, also any odd sign ins etc can stand out so best way to go about is to not talk about modding or tell people you mod over psn and never use your main account on cfw if you are doing things that can get you banned, If you disable calls etc affiance and use the system in the right way you can avoid bans completely. So far this has been true for me but i still won't use my main account on ps3 unless its to sync trophies, renaming games etc doesn't seem to make a difference ether, i'd like to get a cfw again soon as my last one died on me but thats no big deal.

So basically just don't do anything that stands out if you wanna avoid bans, i play all my games in ISO or Digital PSN format and don't have my games renamed but i've played games that where renamed in the past and never had any issues so don't really matter really, i have the way i like to do things to reduce the likely hood of a ban but not doing don't make any difference from what i've seen. Reason i use ISO is because i load my games via webman and in order to fully disable calls needs to be ISO if using webman.

I ask these questions because you seem like you know more than I do:

1. What are "Calls?"
2. How do I get my games in ISO or Digital PSN format?
3. Does an Anti-Ban on a game's EBOOT prevent bans from the CID, Account, or game?

Thanks for responding and reading.

2. either copy them to your HDD off the disc with multiman or download(torrent) them from the internet (dont ask for links, notallowed on NGU)
3. yes Antiban help prevent bans by disabling or spoofing the games checks to see if you are on a cfw or not.

just to clarify on what me and Kronos said:
1. System calls, i don't know how to explain that tbh, i've never looked up which system calls do what. but basically while there active they allow you to run homebrew, load games etc but if you disable the cfw calls completely your console will function closer to a ofw, making it undetectable on sign in with sony's current system.

2. Anti bans are only required if you have modded files on some games or wanna use any kind of mod on those high ban risk, games for example if you have no modified files on advanced warfare you can play online ban free but if you try to mod without a working anti ban you will get account banned within mins and if lucky hours.

3. You don't have to use ISO's and Digital files like me, i use them because i play legit on CFW. and it work out better as i don't have to sign out to change games that are psn games and the ISO games i can just sign out, load it and clear history and sign back in within seconds but in saying that none of that is necessary. Probably more likey to get banned having same history all the time so maybe i should just clear the web history in future.
Using back ups in folder form rather then ISO is better in most cases as ISO's can be a little slower, Get file corruption while converting on computer and if you keep it in folder form you can still access the files at anytime to modify them if you wish, Digital games are limited unless you happen to know how to get a debug eboot to work on them without a lunch error.

Just look up some youtube videos uploaded between 2015 - now by known youtubers on how to avoid getting banned and make sure you have latest version of those things and you will be fine Smile
i've been CID banned once ever and that was after the first time i ever went online on my cfw, when i hear about people getting banned i shake my head as its 99% avoidable with sonys crappy security

Do a barrel roll!
Mw2/Mw3 just need a working anti-boot most of the mods come with working anti-ban so no worries but for Bo2 run GSC mod menu... KMZ Ultra Loader is the best in my opinion (it's free) come with 19 plus multiplayer/zombies/non-historic menus not to mention it's requires no PC after you install it on your cfw. If I were you go with non-host menus for Bo2 less chance of being banned.

black ops 1 and mw3 are fine to mod. The rest will bring you ban without proper antiban...

Yeah I tried that, but I don't have BLES. Only BLUS.
Also, I know how to put nonhost menus by myself.
