Okay so I have a PS3 slim and recently it stopped reading games and DVDs.. I tried lifting it upwards while it read the cd and still nothing. Then I tried the safe mode and clicked on the third option(restore file system) and even that didn't work.. Lastly I ended up swapping out the blu-ray drive with another blu-Ray drive and again that did not work. So now I have no idea what is wrong with the PS3..
Please if anybody knows what could be the issue or can give me some insight on how to resolve this problem I would really appreciate it.
*frustrated*
P.S. My PS3 is jailbroken
(DEX 4.46 > spoofed to 4.66)
When you swap out the bd drive you must make sure its the same model as the old one and then you will need to remarry the bd drive to your ps3 you can see alot of tutorials on how to do that without a remarry of the bd drive it wont work on your ps3 as its married to another ps3.

So you're saying I can buy a replacement(exact bd drive model as the old one) and just swap it out? Or will I need to remarry the new bd drive(exact model from the old one) ?
