EDIT: I bought an hdmi splitter and everything worked out. I can now record my ps3 gameplay! Thanks for your help guys!

Yes, I heard from my friend you have to get a lot of stuff in order to make it work.

I looked on youtube and the guy had the same setup as me and said I just needed an hdmi splitter. So I ordered one off amazon for $20. I'll let you know how everything goes.

Can you use a PS3 AV cable?
