First connect the hdmi cable into your ps3 connected to the hdmi splitter

the hdpvr is connect with hdmi to the hdmi splitter and in the last remaining hdmi plug you connect it to your tv

You can do this on any capture card that supports 1080p

this has been the method for a long time to record ps3 through hdmi
