Do a barrel roll!
It is a sign of ylod, change thermal paste with arctic silver 5 before ylod appear. If you have cfw install also control fan utility or if you have webman enable dynamic fan control.

he say's

buy some really expensive thermal paste, squeeze 2 full tubes into the right usb port (closest to the fan) and bake your ps3 in a preheated oven at 200 deg c for 10 minutes, Don't forget to eject the blueray first.

If your cooling fan is becoming noisy, it means that your PS3 is getting way too hot. It might lead to a YLOD (Yellow Light of Death).

You need to change your thermal paste dude. You should also clean the inside of the console, might help.

Have you attempted to simply clean it? Use a damp cloth to wipe it down, and a vacuum to eat some of the dust up.
Mine was also making noise until I done the above ^^ worked on two different occasions.
