My PS3's fan wouldn't spin so I assumed that the fan was bad so I bought a new one. When I replaced it the new one wouldn't spin either, so I took off the motherboard cover and noticed I had a burned component next to the positive (brown) lead from the connector of the fan. Is there a way I could solder the positive wire to some other place on the motherboard to get the fan working? Or could I replace the crispy component?
The fan is 2.65 amps.
