My friend called me because his PS3 will not update to 4.70, he is currently on 4.66 and hasn't been able to update since. I am currently running a full system restore that will take apx. 9 hours and 45 minutes. When this is finished I am hoping to have a solution to this error.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I resolved it. Booted in safe mode and updated via USB.
