it says press x to reset your system to defalt settings but when i press it i get a blank screen and nothing happens i was going to reformat my HDD

Yes i recommend you format your hdd as this may resolve the issue.

The blue screen error with the multi language text is a system crash usually caused by the browser.
All it does is usually reset's the system to default settings your problem sounds like a display problem.
Some tv's will output a blue screen if no signal is present try resettling the display settings by holding down the power button till it beeps twice.

The old BSOD.. well if you're getting that, then you need to format the hdd in a pc.

if you then get YLOD then you have a fried network chip.
