And I was curious, I know these are done using a JB ps3, and CFW(custom firmware I assume), my question is this: Are those 2 different things? I mean, can you follow say, the "Tutorial - How to Install Kmeaw CFW - No Bricking + Backups + PSN" thread, and thats now jailbroken? Or do you have to like "buy" a jailbreaking device and then follow instructions for said tutorial? If not, then would the above thread, and links to backup managers work for trophies? Would it brick the PS3? I am sorry if I seem stupid on this, and if this is wrong section someone please move it to proper place, but if anyone could give me the answers I would appreciate it. Its about the same all you need is a usb drive and put cfw on it and install it on the ps3.As for backup managers i don't use them so i assume trophies work i'm not sure. If you want to get trophies that are needed with a jb ps3 then you'll need ftp which transfers the saves.

And what is ftp? Also, can using cfw from thread in my original post screw up the ps3? Or is it possible to go back to factory after using cfw?
