Of course. You can ALWAYS upgrade, however downgrading is not so convenient.

And i say jailbreak to 3.55 BECAUSE ITS FREE: All you need is a USB stick and a PC:

However for 3.41 you must purchase a DONLGLE, which is a usb device that jailbreaks your ps3 to CFW 3.41.

geohot Jailbroke the ps3 on 3.55 and 3.41 is not jailbroken 3.41 is still OFW just with the ability to install pkg files and pirate games. thats what i believe he means not sure.
