You WILL have to install all your homebrew goodies, game data, and saved data. I recommend that you back it all up first then switch to your new HDD.

hes saying to back data on a USB or External hard drive BEFORE using your new HDD...if you just swap hdd than you have no data..not that hard...you could FTP it to you computer and FTP it onto your new HDD...its not hard...if you use a CFW you kinda need to know all these before you use, download, or move things around...its how you run into problems
