First of all before you do anything else, have you restarted the router and your ps3 just to get a new connection?

Do that and come back to me and we can check the router settings if we need to. Also can you tell me a bit about your setup for e.g

Is it Internet > Router > Wired/Wireless > Ps3
or Internet > Router > PC > Ps3

what router do you have? If you have a motorola 3347 though Qwest PM me and I'll help you set it up, but if you do not have a motorola 3347 start with what GOBBLE suggested, if that doesn't work proceed with the link Cpt.S provided.

i got ethernet straight from router to ps3, but theres a ethernet going from router to pc, it used to be strict when i was on wireless but when i got ethernet it was open and today it just randomly sais strict, i have a speedtouch router, it doesnt seen to affect my connection much but slower matchmaking
