The unit, which carries a standard price tag of $19.99 USD, is designed to cool down PS3 Slim consoles that may otherwise be prone to overheating. The Intercooler Slim snaps directly onto the back of the system—no external power necessary—and features both a high and low fan setting.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to continue the [Intercooler] line on the new PS3 Slim with the features that made previous iterations so successful,” commented Chris Arbogast, director of marketing at Nyko Technologies.

Got mine from Game with a variable speed, although they don't seem to stock it anymore. It works a treat even if it doesn’t quite fit right (little bit of tape required). I found a similar one on Amazon (link below) but I’m sure there are others out there just as good.
